The focal point of this 24 inch necklace is the extra large faceted crystal in a deep rich color blue. Add to that an ornate elongated bead cap, an antiqued bronze filigree decorated with vintage lucite flower and swarovski crystal accents, and a large vintage key. The piece is tied together with a wonderful antique brass chain and held together with a vintage style swirly toggle clasp.

I was listening to bluesy,jazzy New Orleans style sax music while creating this necklace reminding me of the rich and vibrate history of that city that not even nature can take down!

This is the second in my Love at Midnight Series that features beautiful czech glass faceted rounds that change color depending on what outfit you wear! The focal point centers around a large AB rainbow Chinese crystal glass rondelle surrounded by a vintage style bead cap and an intricate array of vintage style findings, beads, and lucite flowers. The beautiful 24 inch figaro chain is lined with czech glass rounds and the entire piece is tied together with an antiqued bronze toggle clasp.

There is something dark, romantic, and a little mysterious about this necklace! There is a richness to the design itself and like the first necklace in the series speaks of intrigue, of something worth taking a risk...of Love at Midnight when all the world is quiet.

Love Squared by Zur Designs

I once had a friend say to me that he didn't like when people said, "I love you," and expected it in return. He said the reason it bothered him was that it made it too commonplace a phrase, like "see you later!' and wasn't a strong enough expression for what being in love really felt like. Yet he didn't feel comfortable replying with something a bit closer to his feelings such as "you are part of my own skin". It was as if what he felt was beyond love...and saying "I love you" simply wasn't enough.

So it got me thinking about a love like that...it was self-assured, confident, and impenetrable and I started to wonder what a design would look like that would capture that feeling of love. I realized that it would definitely glow.

So I used my shiniest crystal, a round crystal ball that reminds me of a disco ball, and even used my shiniest chain, a diamond cut sterling silver, that glittered in the light. I added shiny charms, one of them a bright red sterling silver heart and some red and clear swarovski crystals dangling from the side.

And I called it "Love Squared". Love Squared is 19" end to end and can be purchased in my Etsy Shop.
