Wednesday Window Shopping on Etsy!

Well, I was without internet access for most of this week so Wednesday Window Shopping on Etsy will appear on Thursday in some time zones...but here it is!!

I love handmade soap!  I could do a million posts just on Etsy soap shops, but here's three to start with!!  I have bought from each of these wonderful shops and can vouch for the quality of their products and the uber customer service I received!

The first is Hilary's wonderful shop, A Slice of Delight!  I had a hard time choosing between all the wonderful products available in this shop!  I even went to the Twitter Universe to help me with my decision, which was lots of fun!! Here's the blog post that reveals what my final choice was! Wonderful soap, beautiful packaging, and excellent customer service!

Take a look at the underlying philosophy of Hilary's products!

PRODUCT PHILOSOPHY -------> I enjoy designing soaps that are bright and cheery, ruffle your senses, fun to use and makes you feel good (or someone else if you give it as a gift).

ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING ------> Soaps are packaged in cello bags certified biodegradable and compostable. The ingredient tag and raphia tie can be recycled.

PRODUCT INGREDIENTS -------> Product ingredients come from reputable soaping industry suppliers. One supplier is so local I am able to ride my bicycle to pick up the products :+}.

Make sure to follow A Slice of Delight on Twitter and check out her Facebook Fan Page!

Another shop that I really love is Bella Fresca!  Bella Fresca means "beautifully fresh" in Italian. Here you will find freshly made, beautifully crafted products for the bath and body: soaps, creams, lotions, lip balm and gloss as well as pretty wrapped gift sets ready to give for holidays, birthdays, thank you, hostess, party favors or a treat for yourself! Indulge in the wonderful fragrances that infuse every product and are made with the finest ingredients available.  I bought some bubble gum soap for my little niece Mollie at Christmas and the owner of the shop, Susan Forti actually helped me develop the idea of a bubblegum theme for Mollie.    I hand knitted some variegated pink face cloths that really looked like bubblegum to round out the theme!  The packaging was beautiful.  Here's the blog post I wrote about my purchase from Bella Fresca!  This soap to the left would make a wonderful  gift but in my mind, I'd like to build an entire bathroom around it!  Black and white tile...but I digress!!  For updates and specials, follow Bella Fresca on Twitter!

The third shop is Batty's Bath!  Here you can indulge in natural, handmade bath and body products! Enjoy the benefits of shea butter, olive oil, and vegetable-based glycerin soaps. Moisturizing body butter, nourishing shampoo, repairing conditioner, soothing lip balm, exfoliating scrubs, luxury body polishes, relaxing bath bombs and so much more will have everyone feeling totally pampered!

Batty's Bath is a relatively new shop, and when she was promoting the upcoming soap shop I was waiting with anticipation, but you may recognize owner Jamie Sabot from her other shop, She's Batty Designs, which is a really fun shop offering eco-friendly, unique handmade greeting cards and adorable accessories that everyone will love!

I purchased one of Jamie's Bitty Batty Shea Butter Handmade Guest Soaps!  It is wonderful soap, beautifully wrapped, and I received excellent customer service!  I wish I had gotten a picture of it but I gave it as a gift right away...again with some hand knit wash cloths and scrunchy!!

Places to find Batty's Bath:

You owe it to yourself to check out all of these wonderful shops...and I must add that they have many other product lines such as lip balm, bath and beauty, etc.  I just happen to be wild for soap!

Hope you enjoyed this late addition of Wednesday Window Shopping on Etsy!  Thanks for reading!!

I Love My Soap From A Slice of Delight!!

I love, love, love handmade soap!  Just recently I was browsing in the lovely soap shop on Etsy, run by Hillary Goldman called A Slice of Delight featuring handcrafted glycerin soaps that are fun to use and ruffles your senses.

Here's some great information about her wonderful company:

I had a hard time choosing between all the lovely soaps and I even enlisted the Twitter Universe to help me with my choice! Here were some of the contenders:

Yellow and Green. Fresh and Clean.

This Lemon Verbena is a delightful blend of Italian Bergamot, Lemon Verbena, Primrose and Violet. It is then rounded out with Amber, White Musk and just a little drop of Peppermint for an energizing surprise!

With a mixture of toasted almonds, sweet cake flour and drizzled chocolate fragrance notes, this almond biscotti soap slice will have you walking (no running) to your nearest cafe or bakery for the real thing (to eat!)

Well, as you can see by the top photo, I chose Petals of Spring soap!  Lovely fragrance...like having a garden in the palm of your hands!  AND as you can also see by the photo...Hillary gave me samples of my other choices and they and they are rich and creamy and smell out of this world!  And thanks, Hillary, for the jelly beans...probably so I wouldn't be tempted to eat the biscotti soap!!

You owe it to yourself to take a look at this wonderful Etsy Shop! You will be glad you did!! You can also follow A Slice of Delight on Twitter and check out her Facebook Fan Page!
