This is truly like having the sun wrapped around you with the bright golden faceted czech glass teardrop, wire wrapped with a warm and colorful mix of swarovski crystals danging above. The vintage 18 inch sterling silver chain and a delicate diamond cut that simply adds to the overall sparkle. The end result is a simple and beautiful necklace that you can wear with your dressiest of outfits but also works with a tee and a great pair of jeans!
I was thinking about the song "I Can See Clearly Now" when I was making this little necklace. It's a song of hope, renewal, and of better days ahead! Here's the original video complete with awesome clapping at the end! Happy Spring!

Crystal Ball Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Ring
Lately I have been wishing for a crystal ball. Mainly because I am standing on the edge of change and it'd be nice to look into a crystal ball to see my future self and make sure I landed okay and made the right decisions.
I have always had this habit when life is about to change, to envision myself on the other side of the change. Like when I bought my house, I kept picturing myself on the inside of the house, looking into my sweet little pink kitchen. And no matter how bad the setback and how remotely possible it seemed that I would ever get inside, I kept that vision in my head and it allowed me to do all the hard things necessary to get to the other side.
So I guess that's what I have to do as I come to a point in my life that I am facing change...not really bad change; it's simply a matter of orchestrating a new chapter. And I've begun to picture what this new chapter will look like, feel like, what parts of my present I'll carry with me into this new chapter and what I will need to leave behind. That picture is growing stronger and will allow me to do the list of very hard things that will get me to the other side...still wish I had a crystal ball...so I made this Crystal Ball Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Ring:
This gorgeous handmade glass bead in the most vivid shade of dark blue, surrounded by silver laced bead caps and all wrapped together in sterling silver wire is like having your own crystal ball, right on your finger.
This ring is size 81/2 and will look good on one of your larger fingers for a really bold statement. I can custom design the size to make it just right for you!
Stop by my Etsy Shop and see this ring and some other lovely things!
When I looked into this crystal ball...I saw the ocean! Hmmm...that's very interesting! :)

HAF Etsy Street Team Featured Shop For Today--My Wired Imagination!
I visit this shop quite a bit and browse at the luscious gems and the great tutorials and wonderful designs!
In Bobbi's own words:
"I adore wire wrapping - I never tire of creating wearable art using straight wire and a pair of pliers. It is not my hobby, it is My Passion, My Love, My Living........
"All the work I list is handmade by me, including all my ear wires and most of my clasps; I never use solder, base metal, or plated metals. Each piece listed is the exact one for sale unless otherwise noted.. If you see a one of a kind piece that someone else beat you to, please convo me - in most cases I can make something similar."

Use The Muse II Contest
Well, I even though I didn't win the Use The Muse II Contest, I must say it was great fun and helped my design skills to stretch a bit; although for good or bad, my style still shone through! Here is my finished product!
I call it Dancing in the light because I picture pixies dancing. Perhaps because of the whimsical charms attached along the chain or the delicate nature of the Muse itself--a LillyPilly pendant made of soft shell and decorated in beautiful blues and yellows.
The swarovski crystals represent the light--I used the ones from the kit and also added some beautiful jonquil rounds, small blue bicones, and a gorgeous jonquil crystal pendant that I attached to the Muse with sterling silver wire.
The delicate pearls and silver balls that came with the kit and some bali spacers, bali bead caps, and a lovely silver toggle clasp seemed to tie the piece together nicely!
I would like to thank Scarlet Larson from The Beader's Muse as well as ArtBeads and Rainbows of Light who sponsored the contest. It was an opportunity for all jewelry artists to stretch their creativity, use gorgeous materials, and take a chance at winning a chest filled with beautiful beading treasures!
Dancing in the Light can be purchased at USTrendy and at my Etsy Shop!

Fun With Gold
So my nephews gave me some gold-filled wire that has been really fun to work with! Made a few rings today...using some great freshwater pearls from The Purple Door in Jamestown and a big fat amethyst quartz I had in my bead collection. I think I am going to try some wire wrapping of pendants next so stay tuned!
What is gold filled wire you may ask?
Pure gold is 24Kt. and is so soft that is it impossible to utilize it in wire wrap jewelry. Gold filled wire is created by taking a sheet of 14 kt. Gold and bonding it through extreme heat and pressure to a core of semi-precious metal (brass). This is a very sophisticated process and only a few mills in the world do it. This process is not GOLD PLATING. There is a very big difference. The end result is a 14kt. tube which is strong, durable, and resistant to tarnish because of its 14 kt. gold covering. There is 100 times more gold in 14 kt. Gold filled (rolled gold) than in gold plate. A 14kt. gold filled piece is usually considered a lifetime piece of jewelry.
